Is 'Breakbone Fever' coming to a town near you? Dengue Fever is a viral illness transmitted by mosquitoes which may be coming to a town near you. It can create muscle and joint pain which is so severe one feels like their bones are breaking, hence giving it it's nickname, 'Breakbone Fever.'
